2/3/2010
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The National Trust for Historic Preservation has recognized Cedar Falls for its "historic charm and character."
The National Trust has named Cedar Falls as one of a dozen places nationwide as a distinctive destination for 2010. For 10 years, the National Trust has selected communities that offer cultural and recreational experiences different from those found at typical vacation destinations. National Trust President Richard Moe said Cedar Falls' downtown is a national model for economic revitalization, while the city's cultural and recreational opportunities offer something for travelers of any age. This year's list also includes St. Louis, Fort Collins, Colo., Rockland, Maine, and Hunstville, Ala.
